The Callander Games is one of the few remaining two day games held in Scotland.
The heavy events start on Saturday 30th July and reach their conclusion late on Sunday 31st July.

Saturday Programme

1.00 pm Highland Games Opened by Chieftain

 

Men's World Highland Games Championship:

  • Putting the 16 lb stone
  • Throwing the 28 lb Weight for Distance
  • Throwing the 56 lb Weight for Height
  • Tossing the Caber (Scottish style)
  • Throwing the 22 lb heavy hammer

Featuring: Gregor Edmunds, Sebastian Wenta, Lorne Coulthard, Neil Elliott, Gary Hagen, Hans Lolkema, Lukasz Wenta.

 

 

Women's World Heavy Events Championship featuring the second annual women's caber tossing championship:

  • Throwing the 9 lb hammer
  • Putting 11 lb stone
  • Throwing the 14 lb Weight for distance (1 hand)
  • Tossing the Caber

 

Special All Comers Challenge:

  • Atlas Stones - Men - (not included in championship) - Athletes & local heros
  • Local heros shut put
  • Women's welly boot throw - How far can you throw?

A bottle of whisky/ champagne for the winners!

  • Pitching the 20 lb Sheaf
  • Tossing the Caber (for distance)
  • Throwing the 56 lb weight for distance

Featuring: Gregor Edmunds & Lorne Colthard (Scotland), Hans Lolkema (Europe), Sebastian & Lukasz Wenta (Poland), Mike Pockoski & Mike Zolkiewicz (USA) N.B. Mike Zolkiewicz still to confirm.
