The Callander Games is one of the few remaining two day games held in Scotland.
The heavy events start on Saturday 31st July and reach their conclusion late on Sunday 1st August.

BY TRAIN

From Edinburgh the train takes approximately 45 minutes.

From Glasgow International the train takes approximately 35 minutes.

 

BY AIRPLANE

Edinburgh airport - There is an express bus service which runs every 10 minutes into the city centre. Alight at Haymarket train station and then take the train to Stirling. Fare £3.50, return £6 (reductions for children).

Glasgow airport - The nearest rail station to the airport is Paisley Gilmour Street, which is just one mile from the terminal and easily reached by taxi or bus (services 66 and 300).

There are direct rail services from Paisley Gilmour Street to Glasgow Central, Ayr and Clyde Coast destinations.

When travelling to the airport from any station in Scotland, simply ask for a rail ticket to Glasgow Airport. The ticket will be valid on the train to Paisley Gilmour Street and the Arriva bus service from Paisley to the airport.

Glasgow Prestwick airport - The only airport in Scotland served by its own railway station.  Trains operate every half hour (hourly on Sunday's) to/from Glasgow Central Station between the hours of 06:00 - 23:08.  All passengers receive free or half price rail travel.
